Anyone done this? Reading the manual, it appears that you have to take out the luggage box, which involves pulling off trim and removing a kazillion screws. I'm supposed to be showing my car next week and the organizers are saying that batteries must be disconnected when in the arena - seems like a huge PITA, but maybe someone has already gone through this and can advise?

You have to remove the rear section of the compartment, a few screws and clips to access the battery.
Its only about 10 minutes work, no big deal.

Thanks M-T
When I do this on my FGT, upon reconnection, you have to re-program the radio and the engine management system has to re-learn a bunch of stuff. Same for the Mac?

You have a Mclaren with a radio that works ?:D:D
Radio is not coded so no worries , engine adaptaions will need to relearn, a couple of ignition cycles, letting car idle and then normal driving will take care of that, just like any modern car.

Well, when I say the radio "works" I mean that noise comes out of the speakers when you turn it on, altho' its usually static!
Thanks for the feedback, word from the Show's Fire Marshall is that he'll turn a blind eye, so maybe I won't have to eff around with the battery
