I mentioned this in another thread, but that one has moved more to a discussion of girls throwing their knickers around, so I opted to start another. This didn't result from an impact (not on my watch, and the dealer claims he received it like this from me when he had it last week). So I must assume then it is from fatigue or a defect. Anyone have anything like this develop?

Dosent look like an impact,i wonder if its a one off in the moulding,im not sure if there is any flex in this part of the car(shouldnt be given the ridgidity of the chassis) So its more likly to be a moulding failure in the plastic,guess we all need to keep an eye out.
ps what milage are you up to ?,as if anyone is lible to get these problems its me with the roads i bomb about on!

Just passed 3,000 miles. Car was delivered in early Feb. Dealer has sent photos to mothership, waiting for response to see if they will treat as a warranty claim. Not sure dealer (or Woking) believes that I didn't back into something, but I most certainly did not, and I never park it anywhere that would leave it vulnable to something like this. I wasn't home when car was picked up for most recent service visit, so I suppose flatbed driver could have done it while loading/unloading, but it doesn't look like impact damage to me anyway.

Learned yesterday that diffuser will be replaced during my next service visit (hopefully Doris) under warranty. Sooner if crack expands and threatens diffuser integrity. A good outcome. Hopefully this is a one-off affecting my car only.

Good NEWS,a pain but at least they didnt ignore it like many others would have done;)
