My 2013 just arrived at the dealership. Yet to be detailed; but it has lots of holograms and swirls. It's confusing to me, since every video of the factory shows such strict attention to the paintwork !!! How can it be so crappy, is my question. Did it get wet-sanded on the ocean voyage.
I certainly hope the dealership doesn't deplete the joy of taking ownership of my new 12C. I cannot expect anything to be 100% but, to my thinking 95% would be reasonable with a vehicle of this stature.:)

The way to avoid swirls is to use micro fibre washing/drying, and polishing cloths only, and wash them in the washing machine before using them. This removes any sizing (pre treat) that can scratch the clear coat. Spray the washing cloths out before dipping back in the soapy water again to remove any grit, and NEVER, repeat, NEVER move the cloths in a circular motion!!!! ALWAYS in a straight line.
