So, I think I've found the first design flaw that I can describe.

The windshield wiper fluid dispersion.

Yesterday, a bird pooped on my window while I was driving along. When I hit the wipers and the wiper fluid started to flow from the nozzle, all the water went back up over the car, and thus I was only able to clean the top half of the windshield, and instead just smeared the bird poop horribly over the bottom half of the windshield. Once I pulled off, and repeated the process at a stop, the fluid sprayed evenly and did a good job of cleaning the windshield.

Something for them to consider in the future.

There is an upgrade for this!!!
Knowing me guys,you will think im kidding,but its something i brought up at out MTC meeting in March,not excactly bird s--t,but under certain conditions the bottom third of the windshield does not clear .They thought this was only prevalent in middle eastern counties were hot waether and humidity causes this problem,but were surprised to hear it happening in the uk,as there were 2 of us on the table that had had it happening Alan Foster asked the r+d guys if they could roll it out worldwide on request!!!
Mine has now been done(not sure if its a widget or just an ajustment,but its now perfect in all conditions.The thing is the dealership didnt know about it till i asked for it,so ask away its not bulls--t,or a windup or april1 st,so im afraid HYPER,they are still ahead of the game

I raised this issue with McLaren here in Dubai back in February. Even with the car stationary, insufficient water runs down the blade and it simply smears sand across the bottom 4 inches of the windscreen. They fitted a replacement blade but it didn't fixed the problem. I've added it to the list of things to be attended to on the next visit.

I would pull over at a gas station and clean the windscreen before hitting the wiper. eekkkkk!
