Just got wind that the US dealer demo (not the pre-production test cars that were driven at NA dealerships over the last two months) cars are starting to arrive. Sweeeeet.

I heard from Dallas that their demo cars (not the 'visiting' ones that have made the rounds across the US) will be arriving on or shortly after Nov 20th. I'm planning on going up to test drive right after Thanksgiving - Whoo Hoo! I'm also passing through London this weekend and have arranged a visit to One Hyde Park on Satruday, where they tell me they might have a Volcano Orange car. I've never seen this color in the flesh, even tho' I've ordered it, so can't wait for this too!

Let us know your reaction to the colour. You know they close at 1pm on Saturday?
It will be in building that is currently selling at £7,500 per sq ft.

Swung by the dealership tonight - McLarenSF has a Mac orange and Supernova silver car as their demos, plus the black and red cars that toured the country. And a red F1. Making it the biggest McLaren dealership in the States for the moment - HAHA.
The orange is VERY orange, but the interior is identical to my spec - loved it. Orange sport seats, orange contrast stitching, full carbon interior. Much drooling.
Oh, and the two cars were spec'd with the sports and standard exhaust - sports exhaust sounded WAY better. MUCH throatier.

I just drove by Beverly Hills, they have two in the show room. Volcano Orange and Volcano red. It was late and doors where closed, so dont know if they are demo or display cars but place looks fantastic, my i-phone took crappy pictures which dont do justice so i wont post. Needless to say i am super excited, i drive by there once in a while and for the longest time it looked like a construction site, then all of a sudden today "boom" a real McLaren dealer.

They must be demo cars as nobody has any display cars,there just arnt enough to go around.

I was there today as well. The sales rep said that the orange car will be for display, and the silver one will be for test drives. They are afraid that customers trying out the orange one are too likely to attract speeding tickets!

In Beverly Hills their two cars are Volcano Orange and Volcano Red. The orange one is already closing in on 800 miles after its shakedown in the UK and PDI here. I was told will probably be the one they use as a driver for depositors and potential customers. The red car has a figure of less than 100 still prior to PDI being completed and will probably remain as the showroom display car for a while.
