Got her delivered last evening. This horrid weather made everyone late. But she made everything better.

Extreme kudos to Brian at Long Island McLaren. Made parting with that much coin a pleasure.

Some preliminary pics. I will post some proper pictures after I finish the ark...

And yes, the roof and the center rear panels are wrapped in cf wrap. The entire front of the car is also clear wrapped. To the first seam at the a-pillar.

I put almost 500 miles on her since Thursday. Including 2 days of slightly torrential rain.

Off to a Mac track day tomorrow.

So I went to Mclaren track day at Monticello Motorsport park today. It was a very nice time. Good cars, Mac supplied 8 cars and some very good instructors.

4 modules:

1) auto cross on a pretty technical track
2) launch control
3) road course
4) a thorough going over of a naked rolling chassis with Simon a very knowledgeable engineer from Woking.

Big fun. Being a new owner, it was great being able to see and drive these wonderful machines at some subset of their capabilities. Me a small subset, the skilled instructors, a much bigger subset, somewhat hobbled by street tires.

Some pics,

Sorry for no action shots as I was focused while driving. But the full on launch test was incredible.

As we're the other modules. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend.

So you were there too? So was I. Awesome event. Check your PM. Was wondering where in NJ you are from
To the rest of the forum guys (and girls too, I guess.... Do we have any female owners here?)
Mclaren and Mclaren Philadelphia truly put on a wonderful event, really made me proud to own a Mclaren.
It was absolutely great to see what these cars are capable of
