Well, not that dramatic, but a lesson to be learned for sure... plug in your car!!!

Battery has been discharged too much to bring back from the dead. I called McLaren Roadside service and they are dispatching a flatbed to come pick up the car this afternoon. No one to blame but ourselves, but... *sigh*

Sorry to hear and hope you're back on the road soon, how many days has it been since your last drive/charge before you noticed it was dead?

Also sorry, but hopefully a lesson owners can learn from. Thanks for posting !! Maybe you could let us know what the cost of a new one will be? As these things do not last forever,so we will all have to replace one sooner or later if the car is a keeper!!

I spoke with a tech support person today at Ctek headquarters, and they told me that this (rebadged) Ctek unit, which is supplied with the 12C, is configured to be safely connected to the car (with it's Lithium ion battery) even for extended storage periods. Ctek will be selling this type of Lithium ion charger unit at retail outlets late this fall. Hope this info helps. :)

I always drive my cars at least once / week. If not, they are plugged into their respective CTEK chargers. There are more powerful CTEK chargers, I am surprised one of them cannot bring your battery back to life?
