It's long been rumoured that mclaren has made a custom 12c for a very lucky customer using the normal chassis but with a completely new body. Could this be that car? Opinions?

well it does seem that i jumped the gun. I've found some more images of that article that i have unashamedly stolen from another forum. They unfortunately seem to confirm that it is just a design exercise. mclaren have said that you can pretty much do anything you want with their drivetrain and chassis. and I've heard some very strong rumours from some very respectable people on certain forums, including this one (i think), that someone has paid for the privilege of having a very special one off made with a completely different body, with the the help off frank stephenson, mso and all of mclarens resources . unfortunately this doesn't seem to be it and we'll have to wait a little longer for any pictures or info.

well, I can expect a car like the orange one from Shelby, not "McLaren"
