Cosworth is up for sale for £100m

I think it could be a good acquisition for McLaren, they've worked together in the past, their non-automotive side of the business could work well with Applied Technologies and would provide McLaren with a factory F1 engine to replace Mercedes' customer engine.

If McLaren was interested, they could have purchased Cosworth a couple of years ago.

I'm not sure about McDaddy's cash position right now. 12C, P1 and F1 are all big financial commitments. Cosworth could make or break McLaren financially. It would also spread their intellectual resources to a new industry. IMHO it would be a dangerous gamble in a recession. However, Ron D. has surprised us before.
