Can't hear and can't be heard, any advice?

Strange. Mine works very well, although listeners can hear the pornographic engine sound. Perhaps this is obvious, but...

1. Ensure it is actually paired (I know, duh).
2. Ensure the volume is set. Volume for the phone is independent of music and navigation volume. You can pre-set the volume for each (sorry if you already know this).
3. Take a quick look at your phone when connected and make sure the source is set to the car and not the phone. It should be automatically selected to the car, however.
4. Make sure you are not toggled to mute on your phone or on the center display (if you were, don't admit to it)
5. If you haven't yet deleted the phone (I believe the prompt is "forget") and then re-paired the connection, it is worth a try.

Mine was perfect up until a recent update- now it's unusable...:(

Previously callers were impressed with the clarity and myself by the ease of use.

People having difficulty hearing me and no clue where the speaker is. Also lots of cracking through the speakers. Hope they can fix it when it goes in for an update.

I did not have any problem with the mobile connection via blue tooth on the 12C.

Not sure if this is relevant but I know we had a similar problem with the Porsche, but the issue went away right after we updated the software on our mobile and it mysteriously somehow reconnected.

It's the cracking that mine started doing, I've emailed the dealer who has contacted Mclaren so see if they have a solution- so far I've heard nothing back.
I look at it that I had no IRIS before, so with the extra bhp it's keeping me entertained in other ways.

There you go garyw, turning a negative situation into a positive. I have a similar outlook I've yet to drive my car which is somewhat upsetting. On the upside, of I've not experienced all of the glitches discussed over the last several months, and fingers crossed everything should be resolved. So if everything goes according to plan I should have a gremlin free car. LOL....??

I'm trying to be positive- mind after someone removing the roof from my garage last night in an attempt to get to the car- it's hard to be!! :(

I'm not clear on the statement made above garyw, did some access your garage through the roof in an attempt to steal your car? If that's the case, I hope all is well and no damage was inflicted on you or your vehicle. Cheers....??

I don't mean to be rude garyw, but if that's the case may I suggest moving to a better neighborhood. Cheers....
Two layers of rubber membrane cut with a blade, 8 x 4 decks of ply unscrewed and the ceiling kicked through... not the wind...;)

Car moved to alternative storage and CCTV finished being installed.
The van parked in front of the garage had its back doors cut open to allow the locking to be bypassed.
However TomTom was still in the van glovebox and nothing was taken.. car was untouched I'm pleased to say..
It's been suggested by the police its a gang after van and garage tools.

Odd thing is I have only recently moved here  and this is supposed to be the better neighbourhood, mind you I'm not sure where in the UK that actually is any longer and if it even excists
Other place we never had the Porsche or van touched in 10 years- and both parked on the drive!!

Ha! at least they wouldn't of been able to make a phone call in the car

Sorry to hear that. Glad the car's intact. To be honest, it doesn't matter what neighbourhood you're in (sorry extremeride22) if you have something nice, the scum will try and steal it. Might be worth thinking of a garage alarm, mine is too far away from the house (alarm) to be linked so I bought a Meta system, been fine and it's very noisy if provoked.

Totally correct and a sad fact of life, my wife was all for were out of here but I replied that no matter where you go, someone will be after what you've got.

Alarm is currently going in as I type as well as the roof being repaired. :)

Out on a track event on Saturday, so as long as I don't fall off the black stuff, all should be good:D
sorry for going OT..

Mentioned it perhaps before but most my cars have a tracking. Even 200m moving and the alarm on my mobile phone goes off.

Just heard, fix is a whole new radio tuner / head unit. This also fixed my issue of getting Iris to recognize an Ipod touch. Cell phone sound quality is now back to normal.
