Which would you rather own?
I was replying to TAG's post right above mine. His list of numbers says mph. 300 kph is only 186 mph, and 50 seconds to 186 mph would be slow, so I think mph fits in with his rumor.Mph or Kph ?
I'm not sure. The Veyron's tires have been to 268. If there isn't a tire in existence and Mclaren do want to go to 300, I would imagine they'd work with someone to make custom tires for the car.Are there any road tyres made that can take 300 mph?
I would imagine you would need two almost completely different set up and tyres for 0-200 mph and 200+ mphI'm not sure. The Veyron's tires have been to 268. I keep thinking that if they did try to go for an incredible top speed, they might end up compromising how good it feels at low speed.
I am not sure either Mercedes or McLaren was happy with the final product.CGT by a country mile. The SLR is more Mercedes than McLaren to me.
Have you driven a CGT?SLR by a country mile.
I was just in a GTC yesterday, which reminded me how good the SLR really is over all. Yes its a compromise, yes its a Mercedes, but nothing really wrong with that.
Have you driven a CGT?
Interesting, I would have thought the power delivery and great brakes on the CGT would have given it an edge over the auto box and on/off brakes set up on the SLRDozens of them. As i said i was in one yesterday
(i just noticed i put GTC instead of CGT sorry)
Not sure, but I'm pretty sure there are road legal drag tyres which can do those kind of speeds. Could be wrong though...Are there any road tyres made that can take 300 mph?
Treads might be a bit of an issue. Not sure, but I'm pretty sure there are road legal drag tyres which can do those kind of speeds. Could be wrong though...
