I don't disagree but the 458 is great on all roads too. It's hard to imagine the MP4 can be much more usable. Green is praising the engineering achievement of the McLaren and rightly so. An every day car? I'm not so sure. It's a mid engined supercar after all.At last a tester talking sense! This is what the car was designed to be - something at least as fast as the best on track or B road but equally as good as the best GT cars at long distances on motorways and A roads. The 'and' car - why has no-one else mentioned its everyday usability? The Ferrari is a great Car in its own right but for me I could never use it for any occasion as it is not enjoyable doing so in a car as noisy and as 'look at me' as that. Ferraris are looked at in their garage more than they are driven on the road - the Mclaren was designed to be an everyday car. Hence the reason its attracted so many Porsche customers. Why have a car like this and not use it?
Things are starting to look upJeez.. only "elevated above every other car in its class" and "a new benchmark for mid-engined supercars"??
He should have flipped the EVO chaps the bird as he drove by.![]()
