Also note C&D mag average circulation = 1.3 million readers worldwide, vs. 60,000 for EVO!

Yes, but I would reckon a higher percentage of the 60,000 EVO readers can afford and would be inclined to purchase a car like the 12C. Car&Driver tests a lot of commuters and soccer-mom mobiles.

Sure. Circulation comment added only for emphasis and to point out that people who think McLaren is failing based on a few UK rags early reviews will need to recalibrate their expectation of demise.

Early reviews is right. EVO even picked the MP4 as a close 2nd in eCOTY - beating out cars like the Aventador. Of course, it could never win COTY, there was a manual 911 released this year!

I think all this backtracking by EVO is highly amusing. They're even patting themselves on the back for causing McLaren to modify the MP4, when in reality it was largely due to customer feedback.
