Interesting comment, I have never heard anyone indicate they were resentful about what Ron has achieved.

A few comments on if he really had the gravel on his driveway washed, but nothing on his success.

The comments I seem to recall are sort of snide ones......like we interviewed Ron in his Norman Foster shed which is sort of perfect and when we left we needed to light a cigarette just for some pollution in the real world.......etc etc ......Rons office is perfection and he asked us not to damage the chair/table......

Rarely that Ron does it his way and what a way......although that's now coming as the MPC and it's product make a global impact

Its not just Ron, I have always found it is a very British thing to do, build up and root for the underdog, then slag him off when he becomes the success everyone hoped for !! But it only applies to fellow Brits, it happened with Mansell, Damon Hill, Lewis H, D Beckham, and on and on. The press don't do it to foreigners . It's like its rude to do well and reveal in beating others if your British.
I never understood it.
