Andrew, many thanks for the efficient service with this.

Like many of the others, I have painted the inserts black before fitting. Not the easiest area of the car to take photos of. My apologies for the 2nd one, I didn't realise how poor it was until I uploaded it.

Great pics! Definitely illustrates the pedal well.. Looking into a special etch to have them done in black inserts as well..

Why not mill all the way through and save some weight?
I guess that would give too little bonding surface for adhesive.

Damn, I installed this before painting the inserts black, which looks 100% better. Now I have crawl in there with my little paintbrush. Maybe precut strips of black tape would be easier?

Yes Of course, if you ever want to remove it, you will have holes in the carpet! And underneath the carpet is molded plastic, if you overtighten - then it will strip the plastic. The pedals are not going to come off too easily with the adhesive regardless.. But it can be removed!

Good question! But I have a couple good answers. Mounting it would be an issue lack of surface area. Additionally dirt, dust etc would get caught between the exposed carpet from behind, and it would be a nuisance to keep clean!!
