Current version of McLaren Diagnostic software include:

All our softwares have an automatic update - this means that when we do something new, after the software is started if your computer is connected to the Internet, the software will be upgraded to the latest version.

Though many in the community have spent a fair amount of money on a high end car (and many did not spend anywhere near 300k if they bought used), many of us don't need a lot of the functionality that the product offers and hence don't see the value of the higher price point.

Many/most of us need certain capabilities such as option 10 - resetting the service vehicles - which you turn OFF when the subscription expires. But I think you know how important option 10 is to the majority - otherwise you would not disable this. Enable options 9, 10, & 11 when the subscription ends and then I think your current price point has more value to the community,

My earlier point on price was - you can have 'some' of the McLaren community using your product - or - you can have most of the McLaren community using your product - at the right price (and functionality). Which is not the current price.....FWIW.

Okay, I'm going to lay it out for you as to why it is still considered too expensive for many. For many people, especially those that want to buy this, it's not a $300K car. For 12C and 570S owners it's a $110k - $160k car in many cases, and outside of a warranty. The majority of these owners want a one-time full functional software. The biggest advantage of this software is to be able to turn off the service interval, but if you have to pay $1,000 to renew it, it's sort of pointless because you can get a recommended service done at a dealer every two years for $2,000 in the case of a 570S as an example. So you've got an initial investment, plus a subscription, and it's not cost-effective for the person that actually will want to use it.

You're not selling to the guy who just bought a brand new McLaren for $300K+, he's got a full warranty and doesn't need this software. You're selling it to the second hand owner, the DIY guy out of warranty, the one that does his own maintenance because he wants to save money. He can afford this car because he refuses to get raped by the dealer and will resort to other methods. At this price he is not saving money when you do the math. And the fact that it's tied to the VIN, you have to realize that most exotic car owners only keep their car for 2 to 3 years on average and he may only use this a couple times during ownership. Also, companies like McMedics now exist that can be flown in with the actual $40k McLaren diagnostics tool, and it wouldn't cost that much more to have them sort the car out and do the maintenance. As much as I appreciate this software existing and I understand there's R&D costs involved, you will do much better if you sold it for $1,000 one-time to a single VIN, or $2000 for a lifetime of VINs to one owner because you will get more business as it becomes a no-brainer purchase. Much of the features that don't expire can already be done with some other cheaper solutions off the shelf. It's the service interval reset that's the biggest advantage of this software and it's not included without the subscription or without paying the bigger price tag. For the cost of this software, I can just set the date back 4 years for free.

I hope you come up with something that makes financial sense and gets you the most sales while helping the DIY guy out. This is my 3 cents.

you all keep running around with this diag code thing. golden motors has been steadfast in their pricing strategy pretty much from day 1 and his last posting is a reminder on what they think of this community.
either completely ignore it's existence with possible price change through attrition and stop reviving this thread or fork up the $$ and move on.

thank you I have a technical questions, does the software include the relearn program for the windows doors and roof
I had a dead battery and after waking it back up I was able to get everything working correctly except for a couple weird things like I can’t pull window down fron the driver side switch but yes from the passenger side, also when I open the passe door the window goes all way down instead of opening the usual inch or so, also I can’t open the roof unless the doors are open, sort of annoying stuff but I wan to make sure your software has the capability.
For the members that are thinking about the Autel 908S Pro or equivalent I just learned today that Autel will ne discounting the McLaren‘s un the next update, this came from a supervisor at tech support, the service options is very limited to the functions available, I got mine yesterday and returning it today, thumbs up to their tech support for the heads up, I’m not mentioning any names I don’t want to get anyone fired

Sorry about reviving the thread but is anyone aware of a quality cost effective solution for non-subscription access to MIL light codes and resetting errors? I've got a MIL and am once again faced with the take it to the shop or do it myself (which I at least prefer to know what the problem is and what is involved in the solution even if I have a shop take corrective action). No need to re-flash or otherwise change mapping on the car - perfectly happy with Mac's work.

You can't do that with basic ODBII. All you'll get are the standard ODB functions, nothing very useful.
