McLaren MP4-12C TV Documentary!

Hi, again, folks,

I thought I should pass on this info, whilst it is still fresh in my mind.....

For TV viewers in the UK / Europe..

The “Beeb” are screening a documentary next Sunday evening about the design, development and construction of their MP4-12C, entitled..... “How to Build a SuperCar”.

The transmission details (at the time of writing) are as follows:

Sunday 20th of November 2011 20:00 – 21:00Hrs,
BBC 2 and BBC HD.

Not quite sure, at present, but I would guess it may be repeated, and / or on their “I-Player” at a later date.

My understanding is that it's an old programme staged in the MTC before the MPC was built.

My source of info is my 91 year old Dad who watched it some month's ago but he also said it's worth seeing.

Both he and I have previous in getting our facts wrong!

Thanks Mobeanz for the link to the promo ad.

Looks quite up to date, with shots of the MPC, both under contruction and with cars going down the production line there.

Ron looks like an evil Bond villain in the shot of him in the glass lift, or perhaps it's a Thunderbirds puppet?

Hope folks outside the UK can view the promo and maybe someone can work out a way they can watch the programme after Sunday, as I think BBC I-Player isn't avilable outside the UK.

Yes, That's the MPC in the shots and Ron in Gunslinger mode. Must have Ferrari on his mind.

You have to give it to Ron, it takes BIG B...S to design,engineer and build a world competing car from scratch. And he has done it his way.

Not that I'm advocating anything illegal, but google "Expat Shield", download the app, and watch I-Player to your heart's content!
