My new 570S recharges to a 50 day life very quickly but the battery runs down very quickly also. I left it for two weeks and it was almost completely discharged. Is the 50 day guide inaccurate?

Thanks for replying. I’ve got the trickle charger from McLaren. I just never used it. Do you use it even if just a few days without driving?
Yes I always connect to the charger.
Do you power down and lock your car? There can be a significant current drain if car is not fully powered down and locked. Also short drives may not restore the battery to full charge.

I’ve unwrapped the charger from its box and will use it starting tomorrow. Thanks for taking the trouble to answer.

When I park in the garage I put the park break on, switch off the engine and then lock the car after I get out using the key fob. The wing mirrors fold in and after a brief period all the lights go off. I think it is fully powered down.

I tend to leave my iPod in the car and connected. I don’t know if that drains battery.

Yes I doubt the iPod takes much power. Congratulations on your new car — hope you are having a blast driving!

Macca recommends always keeping it on the charger, even if it's just for a couple of days. And with Mac charging $3K for a battery, it is a good idea to maintain it.

I am currently working on a solution for battery replacement (when we need them), that will probably be less than $1K.

No, this is incorrect. If the cluster says 48 days then it should be 48 days, not 3!.
Something is wrong. Mine started doing something similar recently. I was using the car less and assumed batery may be losing a bit after 3 years. Turns out mac installed the dashcam slightly incorrectly and was draining the battery a bit. Now all back to normal. Leave the car sit all week and barely much change to charge. 2016 model

Me too... I’ve literally left it for weeks and came back and it still said 30 days left and started without issue... I had a 458 before and if you left that for more than a week you were rolling the dice so always kept a battery booster in the car ready... which I used once on another 458 which was holding up an entire car rally stuck at the front.
