I did mount carbon seats in my Mp4.
To get airbag system okey I need on passanger side take away B.A.G controlunit and 4 sensors.
Connect it to wireing and recalibrate system.
All work fine for 200km and now it say right front sensor fault...
I do change sensor position and find the one as broken...
But cant find any used...

How do I delete or modd this occupant classofication system?

How did other people do when mount non eletric seats?

Not that I can answer your questions
But those seats look like hell to sit in but cool to look at.
Any more photos you want to share?
How does it feel to sit in without padding?

Sorry OP, no answers to your question, but also interested, as I want to port my lotus exige seats over for track use. What mounting base are you using, or did you fab your own?

I can comment on the lotus seats I have which are CF with thin padding and zero adjustment (a little less aggressive than tillett). The Exige seats the most comfortable, most ergonomic seat's I've ever used, and have done 14 hour drives cross country in them without issue, when I've done the same drive in more padded seats, I usually come out very stiff. If you find something that properly fits your back, you don't need the padding for back contouring.

My dealer did tell me it was possible to trick the ECU of a car that originally had electric seats into ignoring those inputs if you fit fixed seats to it. But he did say that it was a trick, and therefore a temporary fix that could eventually throw errors again for things like the easy entry/exit. He said you can re-flash that ECU to be permanently on fixed seats, but then you had to re-flash all the other ECUs in the car. There's something like a checksum that if they don't all match on, the car will think it's an unauthorized ECU replacement and can make the car think it's stolen. Not sure what the consequences are for that. I don't suppose that helps you, but that's what I remember of the conversation. I should also mention he was referencing a 650, so not sure if it's any different for 12C.

I've never seen the "quilted" door panels on an 12C. I like them.

Airbag system is always separated from other units in cars.
It send faults to dash to notice driver.
Chksum is a control value that check send or recived bytes (info)
Only way to see this is that B.A.G control unit as handling the 4 sensors in passanger seats sending some signal to airbag module.

I know if I disconnect BAG unit I get device error in airbag value.

I may log one sensor by Canbus and then ”play” signals to see if BAG unit get happy :)

Repair kit in UK is 1240 £ and here in Sweden it is 2500 usd...
Any way to find a better price in other country?

This 4 sensor is a bomb and going to make many owners sad :(

Best way is to logg a working BAG unit as placed under passenger seat by canbus.
Then make a new unit and replace.

Can you share manufacturer and pricing for those seats? Looks really interesting and you should be able to customize the pads.
