I was the same way....last three cars had been three-pedal. Probably 300k miles total in manual throughout my life. First time in dual-clutch flappy paddle made me realize that I had been pooh-pooing it for too long because it "wasn't traditional." I was just being a stick in the mud about it. The shifting is way, way faster than I could ever hope to work a manual gearbox.

As Mando would say: "this is the way."
it’s nice to try different flavors. Dessert doesn’t have to be chocolate every night …

I believe this week or today, software updates are supposed to happen. My car is still in the shop but wanted to get any information from owners that got their cars updated and if they notice any changes.

I had the Artura overnight for a test drive. I had driven the 296GTB and had actually ordered the car then pulled the plug (was not in the mood for Ferrari games ito getting a 296VS). I was supremely impressed with the Artura. Was fantastic in city traffic, got into difficult city parking garage quite easily and was very fast. The tech was well sorted and was easy to use. Overall an awesome package at a great price.

While I am not a buyer of the base Artura (I have asked for a spot for the Artura LT), I think its well thought out and all round great package.

As I only did city driving, I cant comment on the freeway or mountain driving.

I took it into the hills and it was a lot more fun than its competitors the TTS and MC20. haven’t had a go into a 296 to compare yet

The Maserati brand has the underdog place in my heart, and the MC20 - che bella macchina. I love the way the MC20 looks, and I think the interior is great, the UI is good and the seats and driving position are comfortable. That said, I haven't been able to get a drive in the MC20 and the local Maserati dealer experiences have been miserably bad (service and sales). The lousy Maserati dealer experience and a friend getting into McLaren led me to look at the Artura. The sales experience with McLaren has been excellent (especially in comparison to Maz). I was able to test the Artura and was made to feel like a customer rather than a nuisance.

They have presence.
With a claimed weight of 1475kg and measured of 1770kg - yes, yes indeed that's some presence :)

"Honey, do I look fat is this dress?"
"No dear. I wouldn't call it that, but you've got a lot of.... presence in that dress."

Obviously, this was one data point, so take it with a grain of salt :)

By luck, the Ember Orange piping matches the Volcano Orange exterior perfectly.
My car is at the dealer. We are getting closer.

In the evening I took the car out for dinner and when I started the car to come back I got this transmission error. I had to drive back home slowly and planned to take the car back to the dealership but the message was gone the next day and it's been gone since. I'll update with anything new on that regard.
