Acceleration and shifting.
The grip and handling was always there. I am excited to track it this spring and compare with my RS.

Are any increases in acceleration and shifting performance due to updates on the software or is this “butt dyno?”
The shifting algorithm probably learns the driving habits and adjusts accordingly. Acceleration may be just the rings and sealing up and possibly soft limiters dropping off with mileage

I picked mine up a couple of days ago (Feb 11/23). Next day, the tablet screen was black but car drove beautifully anyway. Locking and coming back to the car after a while did not fix it. Holding the home button (hard reset) made it come alive again. That screen froze again in the evening and after doing another hard reset, all was well.
I consider this a very minor issue since I could recover it. If it fully goes down, the issue will be HVAC cannot be adjusted.
Otherwise, the car is brilliant!

I have 1600 miles and still great. It takes a while to heat the oil to temp. 3.8 miles and 5-7 miles.

Today, no issues with the software. McLaren Toronto is very responsive and eager to help with all items and even offered me a G63 if they took the car into service. Most of it is user error (lol - my fault for not reading the user guide). BUT it gave me comfort that McLaren Toronto have my back. Just an amazing team that want to help and ensure my experience is nothing short of perfect. It just makes my driving experience so much better knowing I have a team ready to help.
Anyone contemplating buying a McLaren should not hesitate.

Can any other owners agree that this is the prettiest start/stop button they have ever seen?

Broken the car last night and gave it some push! Wow!! I think I am madly in love.

I still need to get used to the breaks.

What were you told regarding "break in procedures" by your dealers and is it discussed in the owners handbook??

Took the Artura for a solid drive this morning after summer tires installed and good weather in Toronto. This car is insane!! On B roads, it just flies…..tried launch control and left every car in the dust. Just gotta hang on to the wheel to keep it going straight given the engine rockets you forward. Even saw another Artura (white) on the drive. I really can’t understand why anyone would buy another car??!!

I was. All my previous cars (BMW 3 series, 5 series and 911s) were all manual. I am getting used to dual clutch. Launch control is just so easy and rockets the car perfectly. My left foot seems to be disappointed that it has nothing to do now.

I was the same way....last three cars had been three-pedal. Probably 300k miles total in manual throughout my life. First time in dual-clutch flappy paddle made me realize that I had been pooh-pooing it for too long because it "wasn't traditional." I was just being a stick in the mud about it. The shifting is way, way faster than I could ever hope to work a manual gearbox.

As Mando would say: "this is the way."
