Post caps of your spec on the 750!
sorry that your electric motor grenaded. Sounds like just a manufacturing issue. Surely super few and far between.
Post caps of your spec on the 750!Unfortunately my car is not a software issue. So far dealer has discovered the hybrid electric motor self destructed and wreaked havoc on the internals. They are now searching through the gas motor and transmission to see what else got damaged since the electric motor sits directly between the gas motor and transmission. No ETA on when it will be fixed, but I was assured by my Mclaren corporate rep that they have all the replacement parts available here in the US for the car.
Even though it's a big bummer, Mclaren corporate and the dealer as always have been great to work with. I am being compensated financially until it is fixed, Mclaren offered to send me a loaner Artura if I'd like, they are even taking care of the cleaning service at my house to have all the oil and coolant cleaned up from my garage floor and to have the stains removed.
On a different note, I have my MSO 750 spec session in 2 hours. Wish me luck 👍🏻
Viper, do you remember what mode you were in when this happened? I remember you had just left a restaurant or something. I can't imagine a huge load on the e-motor. Then again, I'm sure it spins super fast. Just super, super crappy luck. Go thrash the 765.Unfortunately my car is not a software issue. What color is your Artura?UPDATE: I have been informed that the problem with my car is a software issue. An engineer from McLaren was flown in to fix two cars, mine being one of them. I got a message this morning that the fix was underway which would be followed by road testing. They said they would go through the car to get anything else they can find, then call me with delivery info if all was well. 🤞🏻

There's a clue in his profile picture...What color is your Artura?
It’s Tokyo Cyan. He’s a tokyo cyan man, a man with a plan, an Artura Stan, eats his peanut butter with strawberry jam. What color is your Artura?
Looks like volcano in the big shots, but hard to tell for sure.Yeaaahhh but I certainly can't tell if that is Aurora, Vega, or Volcano
I've even seen Paris look a bit dark in certain light. But yeah it's probably one of the 3 you mentioned. Looks good either way!Yeaaahhh but I certainly can't tell if that is Aurora, Vega, or Volcano

Edited: thiught he meant Viper lol
Hey OP, did you get your car back? If so, How is it?UPDATE: The McLaren engineer has updated the software and the car appears to be gtg. They are going to road test it and check a couple other little skwaks I found. The service manager said the engineer is not leaving until everything is 100%. Looking like my car should be done by noon tomorrow and maybe even ship back tomorrow night. 🤞🏻
.... obviously they are taking VERY good care of you, as you appear to be an important customer!Unfortunately my car is not a software issue. This is a very relevant question, imo..... obviously they are taking VERY good care of you, as you appear to be an important customer!
Are they willing to do this for ALL customers??
Oof. Can you get some close-ups of the rear suspension setup?
UPDATE: The Artura came back this morning. It was out of service for two weeks total. The software update is supposed to have resolved the trans issue. The dealer checked/adjusted a couple other things too. I will drive the car today for the first time, er, second first time. I will start a new thread on the ownership experience as I progress. Thanks all for your input. Have fun out there! Finally took delivery of my long awaited Artura two days ago. I made it exactly two, yes two, miles before it spat codes and stranded me on the side of the road. Transmission fault. That works out to $135,000 per mile. 🎉 Now it’s going on a truck back to the dealer.
I am now hearing that possibly 50% of delivered cars are undrivable. One owner got two and lemon law’d both! Ooph.
Feels bad man. Yay McLaren.
So, looking for the silver lining, this is like getting a new car twice! 😁UPDATE: The Artura came back this morning. It was out of service for two weeks total.
