I was told the event was held Saturday night. Maybe we have a few members here who were able to attend?

Lake Forest Sports Cars was able to borrow a McLaren F1 from a local owner and my friend Dan who does photography work for them shared this image with me. He promises more in the coming days.

Yes - the F1 is pretty stunning in white. There are three in the world, one wears the High Downforce Kit, and a fourth one in the process of being repainted by the factory in some combination of White/Red right now that also wears the Downforce Kit.

Here's another great photo of the one in Chicago:

This car is chassis #031 and came to the USA from Japan in mid-2010. The same owner also has a silver F1 road car - chassis #001 in fact, which has been here a couple of years - and apparently purchased this white car as a gift for his father. :)

The windshield banner, 'McLaren' decal on the luggage door, and the Fuba-style antenna were all added by the car's original owner and it is nice to see they've been left in place for now. A lot of times when these cars change hands the new owner can choose to have the entire car redone leaving no trace of its former self.

Not only did it seat 3, it had luggage space to boot within such a tidy package. Probably will never be out done at ANY PRICE. what an engineering achievement!
