Same car I drove.![]()
Nice real-life pics of Volcano Red. The depth of the colour is hypnotic!
I believe-It is curious how a lot of people say it is so much better in the flesh as against seeing images.
Wonder why that is?
yeah, i think also some cars just really don't photograph well. These tend to be ones which have a more classic, timeless look rather than a 'look at me' design - ie most ferraris (except maybe the 599)I believe-
Partly because people say that about most new designs.
Partly because most people have only seen the original airbrushed press photos from the initial announcement (the VO images). As I said before, those images were too soft looking and IMO were a mistake.
Partly because it is true. Seeing it live takes it to a whole new level as most supercars do, when you stand next and see how LOW to the ground they sit.
I also think it has some subtleties which don't show up well in photos (depending on the color and lighting, of course), and which make it a lot more aggressive looking when you're standing next to it (that was my first impression when I finally saw one in the flesh).yeah, i think also some cars just really don't photograph well. just not photogenic, next time you sit in a 12,look in the wing mirrors, the haunches are so angular you wonder were they came from, its like your sat in something gallardo like!!I also think it has some subtleties which don't show up well in photos (depending on the color and lighting, of course), and which make it a lot more aggressive looking when you're standing next to it (that was my first impression when I finally saw one in the flesh).
Ok, can someone confirm that the demo/tester MP4-12C in the linkie above is Volcano Orange or Mercury Red?Nice real-life pics of Volcano Red. The depth of the colour is hypnotic!![]()
Thanks...The color on that car is Volcano Red.
Good news, I gotta touchbase w/ Dallas McLaren (Park Place) to see when they get this bad'boy in!Yes - it's reportedly the same car that was at Pebble Beach this year for the Concours. My dealer told me this afternoon that it's touring the US dealerships for the next several weeks. Confirmed that I will FINALLY get a chance to drive a 12C in October!
