Still said the sound is "muffled.". What the heck does this guy know about reviewing cars, lol. It's quickness overcomes it's lack of excitement, uh, no it does not.

I love these comments about the car being muffled while fully half the owners - you know, the people who are actually paying their money to buy the car - are having the noise into the cabin disabled because it's too loud and annoying.

BTW, the fact that it is faster in all aspects is what actually makes it more exciting. As I've said before - you know what's exciting? Winning.

Losing every comparison but one is not winning, and Car & Driver simply said it was more versatile, never did they say more exciting.

When I get my 458 I will do headers, sport cats, exhaust and tune, then it will have close to equal power to MP4. Then we will have a little drag race. 30 hp is a big difference, soon to be 46.

Do you "race" your Mac? If not, what are you winning, more depreciation? :)

I tested both back to back , for a long time . I have a little experience with supercars , for me the mac walked it . faster( much faster in the real world , the torque is shattering ) , better looking , more comfortable , better service , where do i stop ? In fact my sls was better than the 458 for any more than occasional use . Im not a slave to magazine reviews . Unlike journalists , I drove with the idea of actually buying one not a couple of hours behind the wheel .

BTW What , prey tell is the point in comparing a " tuned " ( or ruined , depending on your point of view ) car to a standard one ?

SLS a lot more fun at lower speeds ( slides beautifully ), if you drove cars rather than just read about them you would understand different cars shine at different things at different times .
It takes more than a list of cars written under your posts you know .
Obviously you are right I know nothing about cars , cant drive and never even seen a race track let alone did a trackday or raced . Wheres my copy of EVO ? Yawn , fool of a Took .

what a complete tool... I think it's more of a factor on whether you can drive fast, the mclaren becomes a beast. it's clear you can't drive. Fabspeed's mp4-12c is making way more than your POS modded 458 will ever make

The Ignore feature is very useful. Click on their name, View profile, then click Lists, and Ignore. It's really handy.

List of cars LOL, it's what I own and therefore drive. Comparison is because everyone brags all day that the MP4 is faster in a straight line, duh, lighter more power. Now in GT3 racing, what happens, uh MP4 gets detuned to make things equal. All I am saying is drop 100 lbs off a 458 and make the hp equal and then see what happens.

So what. Try that car in a drag vs a UGR twin turbo 458. I drove the MP4 no faster than 100, so suddenly it becomes exciting over 100. A quiet fast inaccurate shifting car is just that, no matter how much you turn up the boost and remove restrictions.

All McLaren needs is to adjust / fix those 2 things, then I will be in your camp, no different than the complaints in the reviews.

You're now comparing a MP4-12C with exhaust and tune vs a car with a full twin turbo kit... You're a real piece of work. Btw, a UGR Gallardo rapes a 458 TT.

And no, I wasn't referring to how fast you drive in a straight line, but rather how hard you push in the corners. That is the real joy of this car. How it just grips and grips and grips and you can drive so aggressively even on switchbacks and flowing sequential corners. You honestly think the car doesn't sound differently when turning up the boost and removing the restrictions? I'll take fast and quick any day over any of the other superficial things you mentioned. Did you have Alessandro drive the car with you in it? Would be very surprising if he was mis shifting as well.

All these gripes you have can be modded any day (if you so choose). You want it to ride harder/sportier? Put some stiffer springs on it. It's the dampers that stiffen up significantly when in track mode or when cornering. The springs are actually soft. Want a louder car? Get a Fabspeed X-pipe exhaust, you get to shoot out flames as well. Turbo cars are inherently not as loud as N/A high rpm vehicles. Goes with the territory. This totally changes when you get a full aftermarket race/stage 3 turbo setup.

Talked to the sales manager at McLaren Philadelphia, he had the Fabspeed MP4 at his dealership, and put the car next to an MP4 with sports exhaust, he said not much dif. Just what he said. Ok, so say that is fixed, still does not fix shifting. Watch Fifth Gear review, Tiff had same issues I had. I have never said the car doesn't handle well.

This guy is banned from a Ferrari board and comes her for what purpose? To claim that a heavily modified 458 is better than a McLaren; who cares. Why is he even here?

Because I am interested in the car. I like 98% of it. Just trying to figure a way to fix the 2% I do not like. I am sure more revisions are coming, so maybe I just need to be more patient.

I will personally vouch for Markjayw. He has a very impressive collection, a huge amount of knowledge and experience with supercars, and has been very helpful in providing insights on multiple different models.
