I had to travel some distance in heavy traffic yesterday, about 50 miles, so put the box on auto and went with the 60 mph flow which returned 32 mpg.

I have 19 mpg overall, essentially with recreational driving, and get about 14 mpg when blatting about on B roads. Pretty good given the immense power that needs feeding!

I just find it amazing that an engine with so much performance can return decent mpg abeit with slower but 'legal' progress.

Told my wife, 'oh, then I can take the Mac to work then'

I've tried to get good mileage. I really have. But my absolute best has been 25ish mpg going down to Laguna. Otherwise I get between 15 and 20 mpg average. Lowest was ~4mpg, on the track.

Remember the UK gallon is 25% bigger and 600% or so more costly.

I expected 7 mpg on track but 4 mpg must be Veyron territory!!!!

no need to do some conversion, yes the road consumption is quiet low, but on the track... like with flying machines we can speak about flying time ... (in minutes)
