I figured I’d start a thread in anticipation of the 750. A good place for all the rumors and then I guess of the announced car.

I’m not sure if I fully understand it, but I think I glanced at that the new model will obviously have a little bit more horsepower. Have some updates to its body that are somewhat minor. A new infotainment system I’m guessing with CarPlay. I’m not clear if it will have some form of hybridization, or if it’s just a slightly updated 720 to give them more time for the full super series replacement.

Curious what others know about it.

One question I have. Will the 750 come out first as a coupe, then wait a year, and as a spider? Will there be an LT version of it too? a 795LT? In other words, can we expect a full interim cycle with this like we did the 650? Doesnt that mean we are a minimum of 3-4 years away from getting the full 720 replacement?

Electrification will be a platform change, this one will just be a continuation with tweaks. There is already an LT in the platform.

So will it then just be a a 750 coupe, with a spider coming later, but no LT rework? Or will they just come out with the 750 spider right away?

Curious how much 'stalling' they will do with this model before coming out with the new platform replacement. It seems we are at least 2 years away if they release a 750 coupe for a year, and then a 750 spider for a year.

It will be interesting for sure to see what a mid cycle refresh of the 720S will look like.

If the 12C refreshed to the 650s is any indication, then it will only be restyled front and rear bumpers and bodywork, leaving the interior for the most part unchanged.

I think the new CEO is hell bent on going to hybrid as quickly as possible...by 2026 all Macs will likely be hybrid...and the rumors of an all EV SUV are disappointing...Personally I don’t think you’ll see an LT version of the 750...but perhaps an ‘HS’ version as a final hurrah to ICE.

Enjoy the next 2-10 years. Even Ferrari will go full EV sooner than later. For now...hybrid is the name of the game and likely will be until 2030 or so...

I have to say I find the hybrid option attractive. Short trips on electric rather than wearing the engine, torque fill, and a bump in power. What's not to like, assuming it's reliable?

Complexity, reliability, and weight turn me off to hybrid. I'd rather have a pure electric at that point. About the only car maker I would trust to manage the complexity and reliability for hybrids is honda.

But totally get the good and reasonable people could disagree and enjoy hybrids.

I‘m the same way. I love to daily my Tesla and have a Roadster on order and rather drive the 765 for the next 20 years and buy some other pure ICE cars before they disappear before I‘d consider a Mclaren hybrid.

At least you went into the Roadster with your eyes open. Twenty years sounds about right.

All the tooling is done for both coupe and Spyder, no reason not to make both at the same time.
If they make a 750s why wouldn't they make a spider and a LT? All the costs of development are already accounted for.
Because they already made the coupe and Spyder LT, called the 765LT

People have been discussing it in the Artura review threads, so I started a thread on it separately. I'm not sure where the information is coming from. I'm guessing leaks being passed along as hearsay. But the leaks around here have generally proven out in most cases. So it's an interesting development for those that thought a true new platform upgrade was coming for the 720.

How much change in the front end?

This is seeming like an F8 situation that Ferrari did where they needed to get somethibg out to compete with the 720 but their hybrid was not quite ready.
Heard nothing final on the front end except for that it won‘t be a new model but an actual facelift with many of the 765 features (maybe the longer nose?) but not the 765 add ons to the body
