720S Spider Carbon vented Fenders

I give up on this now 3 month project. I’ve learned lots of lessons on this one.
In December I bought these from David at Evolution Automotive. I had no idea how involved this project was going to be.

I’ve spent too much money on paint just to have it not match. The stealth Xpel ppf didn’t help it match so I’ve finally given up. We put the stock fenders back on this afternoon.

You can look up what these cost because I agreed not to disclose my purchase price. It was a multiple of what I'm asking for these

. I’m selling the set for $2500. They are mispainted and ppfed. You will need to have skimmed and repainted. I do not have a good body shop so my loss is your gain.

Hi Rod, that’s unfortunate that you let your bodyshop who did the work incorrectly discourage you.

Per our conversation earlier todayI spoke to George at McLaren CF and he had a recommendation as well as Glenn the gentleman I use which I know would get it done correctly and a perfect match on the paint.

Nevertheless, you will be able to get the carbon rear section and carbon tonneau that you were wanting.

For those interested, here are photos of the fenders installed on my customer Andrews 720S that we also did the 765LT splitter/bumper and side skirts on, they look fantastic!

I'm assuming the bodyshop was blending (going into the door and hood)?

What color is car?

I wish you wouldn't consulted the forums before you did the job. Sounds insane to me that a body shop would even attempt to panel paint, let alone on a Mclaren. That's insanity.

I'm in south FL I'd be willing to help, if you aren't totally over the project at this point. Shoot me PM if you'd like.

Understand your frustration but I needed some warranty paint work done and it came out fine after George from Mclaren CF sent the car to West Palm Beach.
