My prediction is they'll claim every one is sold at the launch. Yet within 24 months, they'll depreciate at least 50%. Ask me how I know.1,500 is a lot of cars that will probably have an average price of $500k. Tall order if you ask me.
Lambo is struggling to sell 1,700 SVJs, although it is more expensive - but has a V12.
50% in 24 is way too much even 675LT are still mostly around 60-65% of what the first owners paid ... and these are 3-5y old now ... other than that most is right I guessMy prediction is they'll claim every one is sold at the launch. Sorry Chris, being able to see the future is a tiresome affliction.
I honestly hope you're right.50% in 24 is way too much even 675LT are still mostly around 60-65% of what the first owners paid ... and these are 3-5y old now ... other than that most is right I guess
I honestly hope you're right.
But this car is being launched into a Perfect Storm:
1. Depressed market conditions.
2. Too many units produced.
3. Priced too high.
4. Brutal depreciation of its immediate predecessors (675LT, 720).
5. Short shelf life as the must have car of the moment, even amongst just McLaren's line.
seems too high in todays market ... I guess its more in the range of 45-60k over base 720s for base 7XXLT all other is a invitation to not sell units as desired ...price is still unknown, official price at geneva in march. My guess in Usd around 400t base price. But my dealer is in europe, so i dont know what us dealers are doing
yes 320-340k Euro base here ... sounds right. Guess one will have some more costly MSO options as with 720s ... maybe some race designed liveries and even full cf ...I heard in the UK it will start at £280K so £300K odd with minimal options and go as high as you want
yes talking about the same car here ... it was not clear for a long time whether it will be called 750LT or 765LT or even 775 ...Apologies if already covered in this thread. I spend yesterday with Steve Parmee discussing the upgrade to my MSO 600LT. I have decided on the 765LT. thats correct. the identifier is 765LT. (so not sure if this is the same as the one referred to throughout this thread). Steve is off to the UK next week, to review and coordinate the pre purchase. Again - not sure if the 765 is in addition to the 720LT? but 100% certain that they ARE bringing out the 765LT . I will post details next week, as he is speciing my allocation while across the pond.
thanks so much chris for the confirmation. I am stoked to be getting one. Will have the details and spec all sorted next week. once i get some more details i will post.yes talking about the same car here ... it was not clear for a long time whether it will be called 750LT or 765LT or even 775 ...
I know what’s messed up about this when you go trade it in you will still be down close to 100kI can afford McLarens, but cannot stomach their depreciation! I bought both of mine the same way. Leftovers with full warranty 100K off sticker... though this time, mine was technically owned for less than a year and 900miles. They certified the warranty back to new though and I'm happy with a 374 msrp car for 275 lol. I may consider an LT at full MSRP since they seem to hold value better
