Discs vary during manufacturing. The weight and thickness when new will differ slightly, but the real metric used to determine the wear is the weight of the disc. You will see a minimum weight stamped on there (which could be different on each rotor). If you’ve reached the minimum thickness you’ve probably gone past the minimum weight already.

Annoyingly the only way to weigh the discs is to remove them. Not hard, but not a 2 second micrometer procedure. Since these discs don’t wear on the street, in practice it’s not a huge deal for most - but for those of us who track, it would be nice to be able to check with an easier method!
