Pretty impressive. We drive with windows down in US... easier to give passing signals and less likely to have glass injury in case of an incident.

Seems to me like he had all kinds of issues and his line through the omega and at the bottom of the hill could save a full second. That is a lot of wheel movement especially in 9 and 2. Big balls to drive that way, not sure it is the fastest way.

Of course, I should put my money where my mouth is and prove otherwise!

You are dead on about that, i don't think drifting is the fastest way around turn 2 :D
You can loose or make up all kinds of time in the 3-4-5 complex and i think he was loosing a lot. Still a good time, but just for referencee the lap record on a bike is 1.19 and the lotus track day clubs are doing mid to high 1.20's.
The clubs make you drive with the windows open for safety.

Falb if you want to come out to willow, i will be official observer for you :D

Haha, someone beat me to it.
That's my car being driven by one of my good friend and I thought he did pretty well albeit his first time in MP4. The car performed amazingly on the track however we forgot to lower tire pressure hence the drifting in turn 2 and 9. The car is equipped with lightweight wheels with p-zeros. Keep in mind that he didn't go all out since it wasn't his car and we were hot lapping session after session in 95+ deg. I have no doubt he could've done 1:28-29 with proper tire pressure, less traffic and without a 200lbs passenger.

A full write up on track experience and side by side racing result against 600-700hp cars will be followed shortly...
Sorry GF,where have you been for the last 2 days???:D
Dont get me wrong,i thought it was a pro-set up,so i have to say if its his first time(wow) Under the right conditions it will smash the record !!.Dont be too long with that report!!:)
