It really is just a ridiculous car for the road and sucks you in, luring you with its power and capabilities.
I think you nailed it, there, andy, as I find myself thinking how the Hell is this thing keeping its rear tires keyed into the tarmac with that amount of fireworks coming through the driveline?! Surely this is the only RWD car that can do these things without chucking itself off the road??Have to agree, with its size is this car too quick for the road ??.I hope i can keep on the right side of the law!! Never has a car been so usable at what seems like reasonable speeds to us,but not when you realize what you are doing.
Ive caught myself driving hard up sliproads across the roundabout and down the opposite slip road, just to join the motorway infront of the guy i was behind at the beginning, only for fun but STUPID![]()
Should win the engine of the year award, but then the journos would have to eat humble pie,so thats a no goI think you nailed it, there, andy, as I find myself thinking how the Hell is this thing keeping its rear tires keyed into the tarmac with that amount of fireworks coming through the driveline?! Thing is, I've never been much of a turbo guy in the past, but this car has changed my mind and I wonder if I can ever go back. The motor just never, ever feels like it is straining. It feels like a big expanding ballon of boost pressure always ready for warp propulsion. Playing between 5000 and 8000 rpm it's like your right foot is gingerly resting on a bomb detonator. Of course it must help that the car is so light and the carbon chassis extremely stiff, but man what an engine! It just wants to go, go, go...
Have you considered turning it to KM,it looks even quicker thenWill MTC remove mileometres this would help us all to enjoy our cars even more
Drove to a Fezza meet in the new Forrest - lots of friends with red beasts. Only cruising on A37 . Glanced at speed 104 mph omg felt like 60![]()
That's awesome!! Guess Sammy Hagar's song I can't drive 55 is very appropriate here! Love that song makes you just want to put the hammer down!!On the way home from work tonight, odo approaching 3K, the realization hit me. I'm addicted to the power. Can't help it, this car is so bloody quick. Rolling into the throttle is like squeezing an IV bag full of adrenalin straight into your arm. What a junkie I've become. All well and good, you say, but where does that leave me? Already my rainy day RS4 feels like its dragging a 2 ton safe behind- I have to keep it floored through the first 3 gears just to feel like I'm going anywhere. What have I done? Does this mean that almost every other car is not even worth considering anymore? An R8 V10, useless to me? Aston V12, just jewelry now? Is the only fix going to be 700hp, 800??? TORQUE is a hell of a drug. Shoulda listened to Rick James.
