Assuming McLaren kept some practices the same, my 12C came with manual seats, BUT the car was fitted with the electrical harness for electric when built. Apparently the framework is built for either, then specific seats fitted later down the line which may be manual, for whatever reason. So yes I was able to upgrade to some 650 seats, plug & play. HOWEVER, there was a module missing in my car which prevented the car from recognizing the seats, so it threw a fault code. Seats worked fine in all aspects, heat, movement, etc., but had to get this module fitted at dealer (near fuse box) for fault code to disappear.
So make sure your car has the full electric plug. May be sitting under the seat, on the floorboard, like mine was. I was then able to compare pics to the harness plug on electric seats and I saw they were exactly the same.
