looking forward to the turbocharged enzo, what are they going to say about that? remember the good old days when owning a supercar was about the noise, and coming second on a circuit,Im sure the passion of a 458 driver will soon disapear if he is following a 12c on the track,he can go and rev his engine in the pits to impress the journosThe funniest part of the test is the statement that despite all their attempts, they were not able to run the tests at the same time. I wonder, which car company would have a problem with a direct comparison.
well, truly, 98% of cars of that level are usually driven rather slowly on tracks...looking forward to the turbocharged enzo, what are they going to say about that? remember the good old days when owning a supercar was about the noise, and coming second on a circuit,Im sure the passion of a 458 driver will soon disapear if he is following a 12c on the track,he can go and rev his engine in the pits to impress the journos
True, but slightly irrelevant. The aura of high performance is very important for Ferrari sales. That's why they cheat so extensively. If even the high end specials (such as GTO) get murdered on the track by an entry level McLaren, it will be very costly for Ferrari down the road.well, truly, 98% of cars of that level are usually driven rather slowly on tracks...
I dont think all 458 drivers wants to buy Elise despite the fact most elise (usually better driven due to the drivers audience of such car) turns around them with 4 times less power at most track days...
So it will be the same with the MP4, it is cool for forum "fights" cool to make big title in magazines, it is clear the MP4 will be faster and for sure will find its audience, but i dont see the Ferrari fans suddenly to forget Ferrari for 2 seconds different on a lap, lap time that most owner will anyway never even get close with their car![]()
