The way the mac pulled away it looked as if the viper hit the brakes. Wauw

It looks fairly close to me, if the SRT driver lifted at the end (unless he missed a shift?). Looked to me as if the SRT driver knew he was toast and lifted after 5 seconds or so. So while the MP4 was quicker, it also looked like much of it was the superior DCT shifts, and perhaps some aero and power to weight.

For a factor of 2 in price the MP4 better be quicker.

Looks like the SRT needs a real gearbox. And some help in the aero department.

In fairness, you could get a Viper, a 5-Series and MiniCooper GP and still have change for the same money.

actually a new loaded viper can reach 140's and a 12' used 12c can be bought for high 180's.
not that far apart.
