Good question Scott, they should be able to find 50kg to ditch, add 50 hp (ala HS) and easily double the downforce and aero, they could even add some of the P1 track suspension, but that could be too expensive, and they probably want to keep that exclusive. What dies McLaren need to do to the 12C to turn it into a striped out track focused road racer (i.e the 12C Scud for lack of a better description).
All new bumpers / wider body / better grip / hp bump racing wheels aggressive exhaust stripped interior with race seats and steering wheel. What dies McLaren need to do to the 12C to turn it into a striped out track focused road racer (i.e the 12C Scud for lack of a better description).
Wait for it until 2014. Probably the first vehicle to match or super seed the Pagani Huayra's 1:13.8 with ROADTIRES!What dies McLaren need to do to the 12C to turn it into a striped out track focused road racer (i.e the 12C Scud for lack of a better description).
You forgetting the P1 TAG ? before you question it,it will have road tyresWait for it until 2014. Probably the first vehicle to match or super seed the Pagani Huayra's 1:13.8 with ROADTIRES!
Count on a 30-40% price hike!![]()
P1 is on a different planet when it comes to price and performance to the road vers of the GT3. I'm a devoted Porsche and McLaren sportscar fan, albeit loving Ferrari and Lamborghini cars aswell! You forgetting the P1 TAG ? before you question it,it will have road tyres![]()
A set of Sparco CF buckets would be perfect. Drop about 100-150 kg of weight. Ditch IRIS and all the carpeting, CF Steering wheel, paddles, and rear wing. Lower and larger front spoiler. Add 30-50 bhp.Better seats, more lateral support, all carbon fiber, better non Pirelli tires.

There is a certain aspect to the P1s 2.5 G..? That would mean laptimes similar to the FXX with... Superior performance at that point, but if i am correctly informed there is always something newer around the corner that's going to be even faster..... right![]()
Would be nice if the Huayra had used actual road tires...Wait for it until 2014. Probably the first vehicle to match or super seed the Pagani Huayra's 1:13.8 with ROADTIRES!

I'm expecting 40 hp more, stiffer springs, revised hydraulic dampers, new bodywork with more downforce and cooling, stripped interior and ditched IRIS, ultra lightweight wheels and revised carbon ceramics using lessons from Akebono, stickier tires and revised electronics and transmission.
Would be nice if the Huayra had used actual road tires...
Only the track version Mikei think you chaps need to check the other thread.. it's here...
That's what I thought,With a P1 in the bag,no need for a gt3 road carYes fair point. Guess its the one that I have been waiting for.
Agree on all of the above. What the other thread shows though is not actually a 458 Scuderia competitor since it is a track only car. From a straight line standpoint, I am sure an upgraded 12C is more than a match for whatever Ferrari unveils in September.A set of Sparco CF buckets would be perfect. Drop about 100-150 kg of weight.
