Which town? I'm not far from McLaren "San Francisco" (Palo Alto). I sometimes see, what I assume are their cars on El Camino, but I've not seen any further away from the dealership.

I've ignored a few of my own requirements - we'll see how badly bitten I am once she arrives! Now the wait .. If I believe the transport company, she should be here by the end of next week. I'd like to, and it should be the case, but I've had delays before. More info, and photos, when she arrives.

I've met some lovely people in my quest, and only one not so nice - it is hard for some to acknowledge that depreciation hasn't been kind to them, and poses some real issues for a few. Looking forward to making the 12C more visible in the area - I plan on using mine to commute a fair amount, and she ain't subtle (Volcano Orange). Hopefully the Police are nice - I will be displaying a front number plate.

There are still some great cars, at very reasonable prices, out there. I'd have loved to buy a few, but garage and drive space doesn't allow (at present). It's really a shame that McLaren don't seem to care about secondhand values for the older cars, choosing to milk parts (and ESC) sales as much as possible.

Have a good weekend,

Roger

Congrats! I'm really happy that you finally found your dream car. Patience definitely pays off!!

Enjoy life but be reasonable, you never know but you might actually live another day to pay for it!

Congrats Roger! VO is a great color! Bring your 12c to the local meet when it comes in. Love to check it out.

She's in! I'm a little cagey, as circumstances pushed me to buy without a full inspection, which I would tell no one to do. There were a few cars that I almost bought - this, a 2014 Coupé (White) and a 2014 Spider (Volcano Red with ESC). In the end the combination of Coupé, Volcano Orange, all CF options, and swipe-to-open, soft-close doors won. The other two would have been more sensible purchases, but I didn't buy another super-car to be sensible

Anyway, this is the car that is now mine. It's an early VIN, but has every CF option, IRIS2, replaced HVAC screens and soft-close doors. I really like the swipe to open, but need to get better at it. I still haven't got the frunk to open - I'm expecting a few minor issues.

When are you selling yours then?

I've only ever seen them on El Camino close to McLaren "San Francisco" (Palo Alto). I don't think that I've ever seen a VO one though.

I thought I glimpsed an orange Mac on Springer @ FHE on Friday. Yours? And a silver 12C tailed mine down Page Mill from Skyline Sunday.
These cars are become too commonplace ...

Nope - she only arrived last night. Here she is parked at work, in one of two suitable spaces - I got in just after 0500 to get it!
