Hey everyone!
So i bought a used high end Mansory carbon fiber diffuser for a quarter the price!

Why so cheap you ask?

Because it was painted black right onto the raw carbon with no clear coat in between.

Now if it had a clear coat over the carbon before being painted black i could have just sanded it down to the clear coat and re spray clear coat to get the carbon fiber to show nice again.

life is never that easy.

i tried to sand blast a small portion and it started to eat the carbon fiber.

So then i found this company called carbo lift with a eco friendly chemical that lifts paints off carbon.

You give it a light sand then paint on the carbo lift and wrap in cling wrap and let sit for 7 hours and the paint just whipes away with a sponge.

I’m starting now as I’m posting this but my test spots look good so far!

I will post updates.

You used a sander/grit blasted on carbon fiber... You are halfway there to what my genius operators do on rocket motors . Carbolift is well known to the weightweenies of the bike world. Go to weightweenies.com to see what others have done to strip paint

Thinking of just installing it with the dry carbon look!? What’s your thoughts?

The spots you see are wet droplets
