Visiting MTC

My wife and I are visiting MTC this month. Any suggestions on things to look for or do?

Enjoy the tour!

I could spend a few days just pouring over the old F1 cars there...

Enjoy!

He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

PS - nothing I say should be taken seriously but I am lucky enough to live in Woking and do get to see a lot of McLarens

The tour is pretty structured; within MTC there are public areas and they normally take you to all of them, and there are private areas and they normally take you to none of them.

The one area that does not fall into either extreme is MSO, which is a couple of miles away from MTC. Ask in advance if they will let you visit there.

Yes...the MSO and GT facility are both in the same building so hopefully you'll get to visit both! I did a couple years ago and there were 9(!) F1s of all types being serviced at the time for the F1 get together that happened in France shortly afterwards. It was an amazing sight but unfortunately no pictures allowed.

When you go to the MTC, be sure to ask exactly what you can take pictures of...probably only the cars in the main lobby. They made me give my camera and phone up before taking us into the actual factory for obvious reasons. Overall it was an amazing experience.
