Always amazed at what great miles per gallon you can get with these cars I was up at an event in Minneapolis over the weekend and got 31.3 miles per gallon on the trip home

That's terrific! Best I ever did on a long trip was 27, cruising at 85ish.

I've found the trip computer's average mpg to be optimistic. I keep track of my fill-ups (to full) and occasionally compute my consumption by dividing the odometer difference by gallons and find that my actual mpg is approx ~2-3 mpg lower.

I prefer SMILES/GALLON so my MPG readout on my 720 is more like 10 MPG. Haha...

How the hell do you get 31 MPG? It must be 5 under the speed limit with absolutely zero turbo boost. These cars are way too much fun to drive like a Prius!

I just could not exhibit that much self control! A day under 100...... is like a day without sunshine!

240 mile trip home from Minneapolis and average speed was 70 to 80 on interstate and highways.

I have seen other very good miles for gallon as well on other road trips with the car hell I think when I got struck in a really long distance road construction on the same trip to Minneapolis I got 34 miles per gallon since average speed was like 60 miles per hour

Trust me I wasn't babying it on purpose to see how many miles per gallon I can get that's just the way it went on the boring highway ride home

Impressive! I just drove across the country again and thought the 27.4 between San Antonio and Tuscon was hard to beat...... I think 30+ would have to be cruise control at 60mph which as others have said, is pretty much impossible
