Question easy entry?

Hi,

I have a 720 s with easy entry option. I have turned it on in the menu.

When I turn off my engine and open the door, the seat goes back so I could easily leave the car.

When returning back, the seat stays in the same position - there no signal in the dashboard (as before in my 650s). I have to use the memory button on the seat.

Is this correct or do I miss something?

Thnx guys

IIRC you can use the lower left control stalk to activate seat return. Close door, ignition off pull stalk towards you.

this worked in old 650s. I think that 720s doesn't have this feature only going back but not returning.

Went out and checked in my 720S — opened door (car awake), sat in seat, closed door — pulled on lower left stalk and seat returned to the last entered memory position. I also confirmed in the owners manual — page 1.19 lower right of page. If yours is not working check with dealer ...

My 12C gives a Message about that. The 720S doesn't?

Did it work? I have the same question but don't think I've turned the option on yet. Am going to later today.

My other car is also a car.

On my 570S, it works about 25% on the time. Get the message, pull stalk and nothing. I guess if you want things to work all the time, get a Toyota

I tried this on my 720s and it works - but the message only appears if I have the FOB with me. If my FOB is out of range and I am simply going into the garage to get something from my car with out the fob, and I open the door, the option is not available. If I do it with the FOB on me, then it does appear.

I was told the seat must be pulled forward to at least the minimum factory setting to activate the comfort entry feature return to the previous position. Also from the manual “The vehicle must be Awake with ignition off, the driver’s door closed, and comfort entry/exit ON.” I asked the SA about it when I took my car in for service so haven’t had a chance to test it. Sounds like poor programming.

Agree. The circumstances when it works with the 720 are much more "restrictive" than with the 650. Many times I've entered my 720 expecting but not getting the message and having to press the seat button. Hopefully may be the subject of a software update but don't hold your breath.

Had the same problem. I fixed it myself operating the steering wheel electric positioning, that needed to be somehow reset. Try to move the steering wheel all the way up and down and then to the correct position, then set the memory button once again. exit the vehicle, close and get into the car and see if you get the message in the dashboard to operate the stalk.

I had this problem but it was fixed by McLaren Service in Chicago. Had something to do with programming and they are familiar with the problem. Have your tech call their tech. This is solvable -- not to worry!

My other car is also a car.
