Pretty sure 500 people could probably have something to argue about that statement

I think the "some of the worst build quality I've ever seen on a car... McLaren you gotta start making them properly" comment is funny... That said, really, they need to get this figured out. I'm holding out for a bit with my eye on the final year 7xxLT and I hope she's solid by then.

What exactly is bad about the build quality?

I disagree. That's one person's weirdly warped opinion. And frankly, at this point, his opinions are so warped as to be on the same wacko level as Clarkson. They drive super cars all day. His proxy for "good car" is how well it drifts on the stickiest tires possible. There is so much warpage, that you have to basically take it to a funhouse mirror to try and get some semblance of reality back.

The same thing can be said about a porsche over a 720. And a corvette over a porsche. And WRX STI over the corvette. etc etc.

Also, the times dont lie. The Senna is what it is. An extreme track car that will spank the 720s ass everyway plus 1 to sunday. When you start talking bang for buck on a 375k car, it's a bit absurd.

Here, I speak hyperbolic. Let me translate this noise.

In the 375k segment, 720 is best. Delta between 375k and 1M segment has narrowed. Figure out if the gap is worth it to you.

The Senna appreciates, the 720 will depreciate like a falling rock. So technically you’re actually “wasting” money by buying a 720 over a Senna 😉

I think people forget that the Senna only costs $1MM (and appreciates) because they only make 500 of them - not because the cost of the sum parts was $1MM. If they only made 500 720’s I can guarantee it would be a helluva lot more than $300K.

Thanks!

I know, Ive debating things a bit as of late but my family is so young, 2 and 5, and I have nearly zero time cause of it. At least when they are 4 & 7 we can go for a ride. We shall see... I'm also down for the f8 since March of '18 but I'm a first time buyer so looking at 12 months out still.

A number of differences for 675LT...

1) they made over 1000 of these between coupes and spiders - only 500 Senna’s total are made.

2) it’s based on an existing car - so to most people it’s just a variant or special edition. Senna is completely unique.

3) it was sub-400K at release. Senna is nearly $1MM MSRP.

4) its a Super series car. Senna is an Ultimate series car

5) Senna purchase was invite only.

6) well, because it’s already appreciated - auction sold one for $1.45MM in January - half a mil more than msrp.

Probably more reasons, but that’s the highlights.

Thanks!

7) Likely to be the only car with the Senna name for a while. First car named after legendary driver. Probably will hold some value as well.
