Why? have you heard anything? Should I be looking for a new home for my P1?

We know that the 688 HS is based on the LT, the 12C HS and the X1 based on the 12C and that they were commissioned by high paying clients. McLaren has shown with the added units beyond the originally promised 500 LT's that their word means very little. It's possible that someone should be able to get a P1 or some kind of limited run of 10 cars or so based on the P1 like the 688 HS

I don't think that means you need to find a new home for your P1 but if should such an occasion arise, I don't expect it would be to difficult for you to give it a new loving home

Btw as far as I am aware there's no NdA on the Mso project that is being speculated.

But there's perhaps a good deal of trust between manufacturer and commissioning customer(s).
I sort of said that tongue in cheek. I asked for a spider theoretically a few weeks after Geneva 2015. Take a chain saw and make a roadster/convertible were my exact words. It was one of those what if we do this ...what if we do that to the car type of conversation. I'm no where on any list. It was just the way orders have been placed over the years and straightened out things recently. No one's fault more like a privacy thing.

I'm 98% certain the door is closed on the P1 platform for a special build. I just know with conversations with designers of my requests, maybe New Britain can add more to this. But as you know nothing is out of the question.

As for the second, it's not necessarily a matter of a piece of paper with a fairly weak and probably unenforceable NDA written on it.

For some people, it may be a matter of having given one's word, and wanting not to break it.

I figured that second part of your answer. The thing is McLaren is not keeping it's word in a sense.

Looks much the same, with a scoop, and just a couple of little downforce fins up front...

I must have looked at the picture wrong.. I thought they'd increased the wing width and painted it a nice contrasting green with a yellow detail. :-)

What a beautiful car, looks like the first MSO HS is an European spec. The headlights not having amber means it's not a USA spec'd car. I wonder if the UK versions will have (RHD) or be like the P1 and only come with (LHD).

As the basis for the car was the 650/675, either left or right was available.
