Differences between 2016 / 2017 570s

Hi,

I have tried doing some research online and was not successful on finding anything pertinent..

Is there any minor or major differences between a 16 or 17 570s ?

I am trying to get into a used 570s and wanted to evaluate if there was any real differences.

The instrument cluster changed from 3 separate LCD screens to 1 large display. Am sure there are others.

There are some early 17's that still had the 3-screen setup however.

Biggest difference is gonna be the amount of warranty left with some 16's already expired.

I just bought a 2017 a few days ago and really the only differences are these 3 things. 1st, is the screen display. 2016 has the 3 piece and some of the early 2017's have the 3 piece as well but I personally have/like the full screen look even though it displays the same info. 2nd is factory warranty remaining. 2016s will have very little if anything left, and the 2017's, a lot have a solid year + left which is a huge value. 3rd is resale value being a year newer to consider.

There are some great deals to be had. Take your time and assess all the info and work the best deal possible. I saved almost 20k by waiting to find the best deal and both were 2017s.

Thanks ! I am trying to negotiate a 2016 for slightly under 205K (CAD) but hesitating on taking the leap in a non warranty car so I am also considering 2017's.

I will also check how much and for how long I can extend warranty on the said 2016 car.

I believe you can extend the warranty out 12 years.

12 years???? Or did you mean 12 months?

BTW I'm contemplating selling my '17 w/ 3200 miles, MSRP was $216500, plus full car clear bra and skid plates under front bumper. Car is perfect in every way with warranty until May of 2010. Oil change by Newport McLaren last year. Is asking $165K too much for the car?

A new McLaren already comes with a comprehensive 3-year unlimited mileage warranty. But our Extended Warranty (or Extended Service Contract for customers in Australia and North America) goes much further. Giving you peace of mind for up to 12 years.

I believe they are simply saying the Extended Warranty is simply called ESC for those of us in the US and folks in Australia.
