Greetings everyone,

We're certainly happy to be a part of this forum and are here to help you get the most from your McLaren!

While it's no doubt that the McLaren MP4-12C is a beautifully designed Super Car with outstanding performance, one of the issues commonly discussed by owners is upgrading to a Performance Exhaust System that offers a more Exotic Sound and improved flow while maintaining the attention to detail and high level of quality associated with this iconic marque.

That being said we'd love to introduce to you the Larini Club Sport Muffler System, Sport Catalytics and Race De-Cat Pipes, currently available and in-stock for the McLaren MP4-12C. One key benefit Larini offers is that we are the only manufacturer utilizing the same ceramic coating used by McLaren. This thermal insulation is a fantastic addition to a top performing design and really helps to improve performance and reduce heat.

Here's are a couple of clips of the Larini exhaust in action on the MP4-12C:

Features include

• Precision Engineered For Accurate Fit
• Ceramic Coated Pipework / Thermal Insulation
• Aviation Grade T.316 Stainless Steel Construction
• Larini Lifetime Warranty
• Significant Weight Reduction
• Does Not Resonate or Drone in Cabin

Along with the Club Sport Muffler Systems, Larini also has developed outstanding products like Sport Catalytics and Race DeCat Pipes to add even more power to the MP4-12C, this provides you even more options to improve an already great Super Car.

Formula Dynamics / Larini USA prides itself in our commitment to our customers to provide expertly engineered products and superior service. As we continue to network with the community here on McLaren Life, we look forward to getting to know more of you and showing you the fantastic products and services that we offer.

Best Regards,

The Team at Larini USA

Please advice which component of the exhaust system in the 12C is ceramic coated?

The tail pipes that are in the bumper & the last part of the exhaust on the MP4-12C are ceramic coated.

As we all know there is plenty of heat in the engine compartment with the Turbo's running at full force, insulating the exhaust is certainly a nice improvement along with the significant weight savings, increased power and beautiful new sound!

All Larini systems offerings for the MP4-12C are coated with the same ceramic insulation, this includes the Club Sport Mufflers, Sport Cats and Race De-Cat Pipes.

I can never tell how loud the sound is in youtube videos.
So, how loud is this compared to stock? I'm looking for something much louder than my stock car!
and what are the performance numbers?

Thanks!

Vcruiser,

Being a Turbo car the MP4 is probably never going to get as loud as some of the other naturally aspirated exotics. Realistically, the Larini System can get you about a 15-20% gain in volume over the stock setup. Of course, you're also going to save weight, pickup a bit of power, keep the area a bit cooler and most importantly achieve a much more desirable tone from the exhaust.

Now if you choose to go with Larini Sport Cats, you'll increase the volume a bit further since you are replacing 4 more restrictive cats with 2 High Flow Sport Cats.

If you were to choose the Larini Race Pipes (eliminating the Cats), the volume will increase even more. You will have a Check Engine Light in this case, although the car will still perform well.

So my advice, in this case, would be to go with the Club Sport Exhaust and Race Pipes!

In regards, to performance, you're going to pickup a bit with the Exhaust but you'll really see an improvement with either the Sport Cats or Race (Bypass) Pipes installed.

Best Regards,
