1300 mile labor day road trip complete

Had a great weekend in the hills of South Dakota. Got great gas mileage and lots of top down miles this weekend.

Drove all the way across state on Friday and was a little windy but was worth being able to enjoy 5+ hrs of driving across the state with the wind in the hair

The car recieved so much attention over the weekend due to it was a holiday weekend probably make it even more so. Everywhere we pulled in or drove by people looked at us like a 3 headed alien was landing on Earth.

Mostly all good love from everyone who saw the car. Of course you get some rude comments from people as well like one guy who like "must be nice to have money" when his son was saying how much he liked the car just have to take people like that with a grain of salt.

I told my wife when you think of it these cars are ultra rare still when you take into account of how many vehicles out there
Probably 8k in the United States if even that?

Here are some good pics from the weekend

Was happy with everything of the car over the weekend and so far. The satellite does cut out easy when driving tree sections but I would rather listen to the motor anyways.

Heated seats worked great on a cool morning of 55 degrees top down fun to start the day.

Glad to be enjoying the car to the fullest extent.

Did get one pull over for going 4 -5 mph on way home yesterday but I think the trooper just wanted to get a pic for his son who said loves McLarens. He said they just visited Scottsdale 2 weeks ago. Got a warning so no big deal.

Enjoy the pics and don't be scared to put some miles on these beauty's

We did see that as well but did not stop at that.
we had just gotten done on the Needles Highway which was pretty nerve-wracking for how narrow it is and if you had one slight slip of a tire it would be all over for the carbon tub and the car.
so after we got done there we were ready to get back to Deadwood and have a drink or two to take the edge off. Great area of the country for driving roads.

Sounds like a great trip!

It's SO NICE to hear that you got through your trials & tribulations and are now finally able to enjoy cardom as it should be. I've started a list of destinations once my 570 Spider arrives & the Mt. Rushmore area is certainly one of them! Thanks for the sneak peek...

Awesome road trip! Love spiders. The option with roofless driving with minimal sacrifice is the best!

I just drove down and back to Beverly Hills from Reno last week and, yes, it was awesome! There is some very wide open and straight roads between so I opened it up a bit and hit an indicated 178 before some warning about the tires started blaring. With the speedometer error, I am guessing it was more like 170 mph, though.

here are the statistics

Awesome great mileage and sounds like a fun trip as well. Did you go down to Vegas from Reno? Some real good roads there for sure.
