Checking in from Gloucester, MA

Whats up all?

New here to the forum. Recently picked up a 2012 Fire Black MP4-12C. Car is pretty well loaded in options. This is the first Mclaren in the car collection. Other cars we have are a 2011 R8 V10, 2008 997TT, 2013 991 S Cab, 2013 S8, 1971 Datsun 510 Coupe with a SR20DET, 77 Ford Bronco, 63 Ford Galaxie, 2016 CTS-V, and 2013 S4. So far the 12C has been a fantastic car.

Welcome. Fire Black is a kickass color. You do any local drive or track events? I'm in NH and have been looking for some more options.

How are you liking the fire black? I usually get doubles on cars and the only standard color I have is the carbon black?

You car is a stunner there! Grats on your new acquisition.

Yes, share any info on drive/track events. I have a house in NH and the next car I'll probably want delivery to there. CA taxes are too crazy, but then again, MA's are too crazy too.

Just FYI -- NH does take its pound of flesh when you register the car. It's not as bad as CA or MA sales tax, but it happens every year.

I haven't lived in NH in over 10 years, but I didn't recall it being all that bad. What took getting used to for me was having to pay fees to my city yearly. Grew up in CA and we just pay the state.

The devil is probably in the details... Though I would call the NH registration expensive, if your perspective is colored by the prices of things in California, then you're right... NH is much cheaper!!!

Hey man! I grew up in Rockport, now live in Boxford, we must have mutual friends. Is your R8 black? I may have seen it around. What's your age? We should definitely do some meets together this year. Not many of us around here.
