Default P 13 Project

Other than what was in Auto Express Magazine a while ago:

THe P13 is expected to cost around £80,000, and have a top speed of around 195 mph (314 km/h) and 450 bhp (336 kW; 456 PS). More recent information suggests the project may have been delayed until 2015, and is aimed as a direct competitor to the Porsche 911, suggesting a possible price decrease to around £60,000

does anyone have any more info on the P13?

Default P8 mule.. .

According to my humble information a couple of test mules are up and running.. . Seems as Ultima have been helping out with a few chassis once again. But this time with a small block engine instead of the MAC F1:s Big Block Chevy Power.. .

Any idea if they will develop an inhouse engine or continue to source one from the outside?

This one is definitely being developed as the 911 killer.

Its defiantly happening, When i was at the MTC last month they confirmed it was a go, even showed me the room it was in ( but would not open the door for me ) really don't want to elaborate on the other stuff i was told as most of it will change I'm sure. But for sure it is going after the 911, just as
12C is against the 458 and the hyper car against the F70 and Bugatti cars.
Now weather that means it will have multiple variants just like the 911 does remains to be seen..but the wizards at MTC are driving mules for a while now...

Thought is a very underestimated process

Default Interesting P13 comments from Frank Stephenson

A couple of excerpts from an interview with Gulf Weekly.

“I promise you, our entry-level McLaren will be awe-inspiring. The P13 will make people stand up and take notice. Just watch out Porsche!”

“The P13 will revolutionise the segment. It will be nothing like the 911 – that would be like comparing chocolate with vanilla. Both are popular flavours but you know in your heart which one you prefer.”
