I spoke with a guy who has seen Mega Mac and he is sworn to secrecy or he has to answer to Ron.

He would only say it is 'very far reaching and different' with a substantial price point. Aw come on give me a clue...........it's very Frank Stephenson......nothing like Car Mags images.

So, we have to wait and see........get your letters of interest in then go rob a Bank or two!

Any chance the previous reports were false and that it will, indeed, be a three seater?

Sorry, it never occurred to me to ask! Guess that comes from never having been in a three seater.

That comment was made in CAR magazine by Frank, I believe. Still unfortunately, whatever the outcome, the car will be out of mu reach so I will have to make do with the 12c

In the line of the proposed F70.........just introduced F620 GT is nothing to look at........has maranello lost it's touch.......has 740hp though!

I literally cannot believe the 599 replacement will look like those pics. It looks like a California and FF mash-up. No flowing lines, just lots of creases for the sake of it.

At Pebble Beach last year, I asked Frank about it. He said, "It's like nothing you've ever se... ....like nothing you can even conceive."

I said, "I don't know, I can conceive of a lot!"

So I asked him to draw three character lines on a piece of paper, and then show/flash it to me for just an instant. ...and he said he couldn't. But he DID hesitate for juuuuust long enough to get my hopes up that I was going to get a bit of an inside scoop (as though he might actually be considering it - he did have paper and pen in hand, after all)! Alas...

He gets pretty excited talking about it - you could tell he was bursting at the seems to talk/tell more, but wouldn't. For some reason - I'm thinking it'll be mind-blowing!

I'm pretty impressed with their ability to keep the secrety, frankly!

I'm guessing this car will blow us away just the way the original F1 did...

Because McLaren.

Hope so with SOUND to match ;0) Can't be any worse than proposed F70. It probably can't be F1 size with all the safety regs now but I just pray it's NOT aventador BIG :-0
not too worried about wt cause that is their thing, more than likely around 2500lbs (dry)
Would like to see that be the KERB weight ;0)

The Autocar 12C supplement has a great article about Stephenson, that, in particular, discusses his fascination with "bio-mimicry". This may give some insight into the 'inconceivable' statements. Either way, let's hope he stays true to his own stated mantras for future McLarens:
"Don't oversize the car. Design for purpose, everything for a reason. Weight is the enemy. Good is not good enough. Aim to make the smallest car on the outside and the biggest inside."
