12c build thread for 2017 season! Hypercar, etc.

It's now 2017 and this season I'm looking forward to building the 12c for some road rally and race events!

My 2017 event schedule is;
February Fuel Run (1/4 mile drag day included)
May goldRush Rally (8 day event, one 1/4 mile drag day and possibly a track day)
June Shift Sector Colorado (possibly)
September Shift Sector Oregon
October Shift Sector California
Misc. events between the listed above

The current mods are;
Vorsteiner carbon side trim
Revosport front bumper
15/10 mm wheel spacers (will be removed)
Fabspeed sport cats (will be removed)
Remus piggy back tuner (will be removed)
Escort 9500ci with laser shifters
Soft close doors
Iris 2 upgrade
Color charge wrap

Last season with the mods above I ran a 161.98 at Shift Sector in the standing 1/2 mile. Which was not bad considering the stock 12c's were running in the 155 range. This year I'm focused on running much better times with the same reliability, possibly even better regarding heat issues. The reliability is key for me since I will rack up 4500+ miles at one continuous time in May! (Over a two week period)

My planned upgrades are;
Hypercar Hyper800 system
COR forged monobloc wheels
MSO style front fenders
Vorsteiner carbon rear bumper and diffuser
Toyo 888r tires

I have an agreement with Hypercar to ship the car off to them at the end of January for them to do the work in time for the Fuel Run. I'm really looking forward to having this work done! From the discussions that I have had with Thad it really sounds like they have a handle on how to improve these cars. In the mean time I'm working on getting the remaining upgrades handled.

Below is the car currently.

Wow! That sounds like an incredible year for 2017! Curious to why you will be removing the current tune and sport cats? Is that for the Hyper800 system? Have a great new year!

Thanks,
I bought a black car with the thought of wrapping it. I had it done the first week I owned it. I think it enhances the body lines.

Today I decided to go with the Forged wheels from Hypercar at 79 pounds a set they are hard to beat, plus I really like the style. I'm also going to give the Michelin pilot sport cup 2's a try in a 325 size in the rear. Now I just need to choose a color for the wheels? I'm thinking anodized orange or gloss black?

Thanks Thad it's going to be a great season!

I contacted DCT and got them building me a custom carbon steering wheel. I have one of there wheels on another car and it feels so much better. I also order a full carbon panel set for the engine bay. Parts should start showing up soon. So pics to follow...

Where did you order the carbon engine bay? I have the panels, but don't have one of the carbon options for the engine bay.

I received the fenders yesterday! We happened to get snowed in today so I got a chance to work on them. In my mind I thought it would be a 4 hour bolt in job. Take them out of the box and install and wrap. Nope, they are nice for carbon fiber parts but not straight enough for me. So I decided to block and paint them first. It took me 6 hours to straighten them (high build and sand 4 times) I got them in final primer today and will paint tomorrow. I also did not expect to have to drill several mounting locations about 10 holes per side. It has turned out to be much more of a job then I expected.

Here are pic of the work today
1 Sanded carbon
2 Blocking
3 Final primer
